TED A. ANDERSON, 64, died Thursday, November 25, 2010 after a short illness. He was born January 26, 1946 in Memphis, TN and was a Masonry Foreman with Southern Masonry Company.

Shirley Ann Baldridge, 70 years old, was born on December 31, 1946 in Memphis, TN. She died August 1, 2017. She never married, but was devoted to her family. She was the daughter of James Meyer Baldridge, Jr and Doris Marie Roberts Baldridge, both of whom predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her brother, James Meyer Baldridge, 111. She leaves her sister, June M. Freeman (Don), two nephews, Paul T. Behnke, Jr (Robin), Jason A. Freeman (Erin), a niece, Deborah L. Freeman and a beloved great-nephew, Monroe Freeman, and a beloved great-niece, Adella Freeman.

Shirley was a 1964 graduate of Watkins Overton High School in Memphis, TN. Her working career consisted of being a layaway/credit department clerk and gift wrapper at Parks-Belk Department Store. She helped her sister in various endeavors such as throwing papers on a route for the old Press-Scimitar newspaper and babysitting full-time. For a time, she lived in Eureka Springs, AR and was an actress in the Great Passion Play. At the time of her death, she was a long-time waitress at Piccadilly Cafeteria.

Shirley was an avid reader, and read hundreds of books each year. She enjoyed eating out and attending music shows featuring Memphis entertainers. In the last 5 years, one of her favorite endeavors was babysitting and playing with her great-nephew and great-niece.

She was a life-long member of the Church of Christ, and had been a member of Getwell Church of Christ for many, many years. Before that, she attended Wooddale Church of Christ and Park Avenue Church of Christ.

Shirley did not want a funeral service, visitation or viewing of the body. She did not like to attend funerals and made it very clear during her lifetime that she did not want one for herself. She will be buried in the same grave…over her beloved mother….in Memphis Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the charity of your choice.

The services have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave., Memphis TN 38119 (901) 767-8930. “Celebrating Life….Behind the Stone Wall"
